How to Use Puppy Training Pads
Sounds easy enough right? Just put them down and then wait. Not so fast. First you have to train your dog to go in the area where the pad is. When puppy potty training, keeping a schedule is important because it helps prevent accidents.
To get started using training pads, start by picking a designated spot that you will be using indoors for your dog to potty. When it looks like it’s time for your puppy to go, take him to the potty spot. Reinforce through praise when your puppy goes on the pad.
You will want to change the pad frequently and clean up any accidents right away. The key with puppies is being able to watch them and recognize the signs that it’s time to go.
